Packing checklist generator
Choose your trip type, length, climate and luggage. You'll get a categorised packing list with quantities that scale with the number of days — tick items off as you pack, remove what you don't need, add your own, then print it or share the link.
⚠️ Always check your airline's baggage allowance and the security rules at your departure airport — liquid, battery and size rules vary.

Travel day & anti-loss
Carry-on liquids: usually containers of 100 ml or less in one clear, resealable bag. Some airports with new scanners have relaxed this — check yours before you fly. Power banks and spare lithium batteries must go in your carry-on, never in checked luggage.
Don't lose it on the way
- Photograph your bag's contents before you close it. If the airline loses it, those photos are your proof of value.
- Take a photo of the bag itself, too — a clear description gets it back faster.
- Put a contact label inside the bag, in case the outside tag is torn off.
- Tag the outside with a TagTrek QR tag: anyone who finds the bag can message you anonymously, without seeing your phone number.

How it works
Describe your trip
Pick the trip type, number of days, climate, luggage and any extras like a laptop, baby, pet or gym kit.
Get a tailored list
Items are grouped by category. Clothing quantities scale with the number of days, capped with a laundry stop for longer trips.
Make it yours
Tick items off as you pack, remove what you don't need and add your own items. Progress is shown at the top.
Print or share
Print a clean list, or copy a link that rebuilds the same list — handy for packing with family or a travel partner.
Worked example
Jordan is going on a 7-day beach holiday somewhere hot, with carry-on only.
Carry-on means clothes are planned for 5 days plus a laundry stop, so the list suggests 6 pairs of underwear, 5 tops, 3 pairs of shorts and 2 swimsuits, plus sunscreen, after-sun, a sun hat, sandals and a beach towel. Because it's carry-on, it adds a clear liquids bag and reminds Jordan that the power bank must stay in the cabin.
Jordan removes the beach towel (the hotel has them), adds "snorkel mask", and sends the share link to a travel partner to pack the same way.
Frequently asked questions
How many clothes should I pack for a week?
For a 7-day trip, plan for about 5 days of tops and underwear (plus one spare) and do a quick wash halfway through. Bottoms can be worn several times: 2–3 pairs is usually enough. The generator does this maths for you based on your trip length and luggage.
Can I travel for two weeks with only a carry-on?
Yes — pack for about 5 days, choose clothes that mix and match, and plan one or two laundry stops. Wear your bulkiest shoes and jacket on the plane and keep liquids in small containers.
What should never go in checked luggage?
Power banks and spare lithium batteries must travel in your carry-on. Keep medicines, passports, keys, jewellery, laptops and anything you can't do without in your hand luggage too — if a checked bag is delayed, you'll still have the essentials.
What are the liquid rules for hand luggage?
At most airports, liquids must be in containers of 100 ml or less, all fitting in one clear, resealable bag of about one litre. Some airports with new scanners allow more, but the rules differ by airport and can change, so check before you fly.
Does the packing list save my progress?
Your trip settings, removed items and custom items are stored in the share link, so you can bookmark it or send it to someone. Ticks aren't saved — print the list if you want a paper copy to tick off.
How do I make sure I don't lose my luggage?
Use a distinctive bag, photograph it and its contents, put a contact label inside, and tag the outside with something a finder can use. A TagTrek QR tag lets anyone who finds your bag message you anonymously.
Tag your bags so a finder can reach you
Most lost things are found by someone who has no way to contact you. TagTrek turns any bag or item into a QR tag: whoever finds it scans it and can message you anonymously. No app needed for the finder, no GPS tracking.
